I have tried this and there is no little balloon telling me that the new software is being loaded. Then, on re connecting the drive, windows will see it as new hardware and download the drivers. In another thread it was suggested that one should disconnect the drive and restart the computer. It has worked perfectly well until the upgrade. The Samsung web site is virtually useless as although it asks for the name and model it then refuses and asks you for the model number wheich I don't have without taking it out. It is just as if it has become a piece of plastic or does not exist at all. It does not appear anywhere in control panel or devices and printers. You cannot uninstall it (drivers) susing device manager because it does not appear there. I have the same problem since installing windows 10.
